You are so cruel. It’s 1.27am right now and I’m throwing all my holiday homework aside to sit down and write this.

Honestly I don’t know where to start. Let’s begin with the first Messiah show i’ve watched: Shikkoku no Shou (the movie). Not gonna lie here, the infamous bedroom scene really caught me off guard and I just went “THIS. MY NEW SHIP. XD”
Also not to mention Haku is literally a five years old child with a juicebox(es) and short angry Eiri has to clean up after him all the time. Like, Eiri is forever so annoyed at Haku I find it so comical. And Haku is rEALLY A CHILD like he doesn’t want to leave his juicebox behind for the mission and Eiri is all, “ugh, nevermind, I give up” But even though Eiri always chooses to bicker with Haku, and complains about Haku being his Messiah, deep down he loves Haku so much he’ll shoot down anyone who touches Haku okay.
Moreover, they are fated to be each other’s Messiahs. Kaidou Eiri, “the one who can’t die” and Mitsumi Haku, “the one who is cursed” (because anyone who became his Messiah seemed to be cursed to die.) They complete each other’s lives. Being each other’s Messiah, Eiri now has someone to live for, while Haku will never lose Eiri. The Higayama incident in Dou no Shou is my favourite because it shows how much Haku cares and wants to protect Eiri, and Eiri assures Haku that he will live for him. (It also brings tears to me all the time)
Moving on to Hakugin no Shou, they have so much dumb exchanges here oh god. From whisper ad-lib (which again proves how Haku loves to tease Eiri WHICH IS ALSO WHY I LOVE THEIR DYNAMICS SO MUCH, Haku is such a laid-back person while Eiri is this angry uptight child who points his gun at everyone, Haku brings the fun to Eiri) to chocolate bath dream I just laugh so hard every single time. Which also brings me to this: I LOVE HAKU/EIRI MAINLY BECAUSE OF THEIR ACTORS.
I quote Nakamura on Ryo and Kento, “as expected of the veteran married couple combi” They are truly perfect as Eiri and Haku respectively (personally I wouldn’t ship this so much if they’re not the actors?) The height difference, the chemistry between them. Please enlighten me on how you would not fall for this ship when the actors themselves carry it out so well.
The fact that Ryo and Kento are literally the characters they play also pull me deep into this ship. Like Ryo said, Eiri among all the other characters he played, is the closest to his real personality. The two of them also said before that their real life conversations are like Haku and Eiri too I JUST FIND THIS SO CUTE
Also in the manga Eiri gets really close to this guy I forgot his name, and Haku gets so jealous wOW I WISHED THE MANGA HAD MORE CHAPTERS. go read the manga just because.
And I should stop here because I really need sleep and I might babble on and never stop. And sorry if I don’t really make any sense I suck at this.
